I believe that in order to teach effectively, an educator must be able to relate to their students and make content relevant. By making content relevant to the students’ lives, they will be engaged in the learning process and expand their critical thinking and analytical skills. Furthermore, I believe that all students have the ability to learn. I am a strong proponent of differentiated instruction and varying teaching methods in order to give every student the opportunity to realize their full potential. In the classroom I make use of technology by using PowerPoint presentations, video clips, interactive websites, and other mediums to convey information. My goal is to provide my students with the tools they need to become active Catholic-American citizens.
